HydroBalance Dressing (Suprasorb X)

Lohmann & Rauscher Suprasorb X HydroBalance Dressing is designed for non-infected wounds and effectively controls the moisture level of the wound. In this dressing, the unique structure of the biosynthetic HydroBalance fibers allows it, depending on the condition of the wound, either to retain moisture or absorb excess exudate. This feature reduces patient pain without the need for analgesic medications and improves quality of life.
The elastic and stable structure of the Suprasorb X dressing allows it to easily cover wounds of any type and depth. It can also be easily applied to areas of the body that are difficult to dress.
With its broad range of applications, the HydroBalance dressing simplifies wound treatment and helps ensure excellent scar outcomes.
Excess wound exudate is absorbed into the dressing (A).
Moisture is transferred from the dressing to areas of the wound with low moisture levels (B).

1- Clean the wound according to the applicable hygiene guidelines. Then gently pat the area around the wound dry using a sterile pad.

2- Place the Suprasorb X HydroBalance Dressing on the wound and cover the entire wound surface. If you are using the Suprasorb X HydroBalance ribbon, fold it several times and loosely place it inside the wound.

3- Depending on the amount of wound exudate, use an appropriate secondary dressing over the applied dressing. For example, for non-infected wounds, you can use Suprasorb X together with Suprasorb F or Suprasorb P.

Dressing change:

The dressing should be changed according to the physician recommendation and the condition of the wound.
If the dressing has dried and needs to be removed from the wound, moisten it for at least 10 minutes before removal.
