Laparoscopic Surgery
Laparoscopy is a surgical technique performed through very small incisions. For this reason, it is also referred to as minimally invasive surgery (MIS). The surgeon places an instrument called a trocar through small incisions made in the abdomen and uses it to introduce surgical instruments and a camera into the abdominal cavity.
The Korean company Vaxcon (B.N.R) is one of the manufacturers of high-quality trocars, Endobags, and other disposable laparoscopic products. Laparoscopic surgical staplers are manufactured by the Chinese company GoldenStapler, whose products are FDA approved in the United States. Polymer ligating clips are also supplied under the German Everest brand.
