The activated carbon or activated charcoal and mercury dressing (Vliwaktiv Ag), due to its activated charcoal content, helps reduce unpleasant odors from wound exudate and, due to its mercury content, has antimicrobial properties. This product is available in both dressing and strip forms and can be used in cases such as the treatment of wounds with high-risk colonization, infected or malodorous wounds, and wounds with a high risk of infection.
