Silicone Foam Dressing (Suprasorb P Sensitive)

Lohmann & Rauscher Suprasorb P Sensitive is a silicone foam dressing specifically designed for sensitive skin. Its multilayer structure effectively manages moisture in the wound environment. The silicone layer that comes into contact with the wound minimizes the risk of the dressing adhering to the wound and reduces patient pain during dressing changes. The outer protective layer is also waterproof and repels bacteria, while remaining permeable to water vapor.
Depending on the level of wound exudate, this dressing is available in 3 types: non-bordered, narrow-bordered, and bordered.

Thanks to its 2 or 3 liners, it can be easily applied to the wound without the adhesive coming into contact with the gloves.
With Suprasorb P Sensitive, areas of the body that are difficult to dress can be dressed easily.
It can be used for the treatment of superficial and deep wounds and can also be used as a secondary dressing for acute, surgical, and traumatic wounds.
Heel (with superabsorbent central layer)
Sacrum (with superabsorbent central layer)
Bordered (with superabsorbent central layer)
Narrow Border (without superabsorbent central layer)
Tracheostomy (without superabsorbent central layer)

Care of superficial or deep acute and chronic wounds with moderate to high exudate.

Indications:

Pressure ulcers
Leg ulcers
Traumatic wounds
Surgical wounds
Skin tears

According to a physician’s recommendation, Suprasorb P Sensitive can be used as a secondary dressing for the treatment of infected wounds or wounds at risk of infection.

The non-bordered tracheostomy dressing can be used to cover the skin around a tracheal cannula and other drains.

The silicone layer that comes into contact with the skin is highly suitable for sensitive skin.
When the dressing is removed or repositioned, patient pain and trauma to the wound and surrounding skin are minimized.
It effectively manages wound exudate, helps prevent maceration, and creates a moist wound environment.
It is impermeable to bacteria and water.
Thanks to its 2 or 3 liners, it can be easily applied to the wound without the adhesive coming into contact with the gloves.
It offers excellent conformability to any type of wound bed.
It is very soft and gentle on the skin.
This dressing can be used as a preventive treatment to help prevent the development of pressure ulcers.
It does not require frequent dressing changes and therefore helps save time.
This dressing can be cut to the size of the wound before use.
Depending on the amount of wound exudate, you can apply another suitable dressing, such as Suprasorb P Sensitive, over the dressing already in place.
This dressing can be used under compression bandages.

Dressing change:

The dressing should be changed after a maximum of 7 days.
