Suprasorb H Hydrocolloid Dressing consists of an absorbent hydrocolloid matrix applied to a polyurethane film with nano-sized pores (breathable layer). The hydrocolloid matrix rapidly absorbs wound exudate and forms a gel. In addition to its very high wound exudate absorption capacity, this dressing has a breathable polyurethane layer that allows water vapor to pass through. These features enable Suprasorb H Hydrocolloid by Lohmann & Rauscher to provide a moist wound environment, reduce the risk of damage to healthy skin around the wound, and allow the dressing to remain in place for up to 7 days during wound healing. Suprasorb H Hydrocolloid is available in different versions, including Standard, Thin, Sacrum, and Border, allowing the appropriate dressing to be selected according to the wound condition.
By absorbing wound exudate, the hydrocolloid swells and expands, forming a gel. This gel traps exudate and tissue debris (A).
The resulting gel retains bacteria and fluids (B).
