Suprasorb Liquacel Pro Reinforced Hydroactive Dressing

Lohmann & Rauscher Suprasorb Liquacel Pro reinforced dressing is an extremely soft, nonwoven dressing that conforms completely to any wound bed. This dressing is made from a combination of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose fibers and reinforced cellulose fibers. When Suprasorb Liquacel Pro comes into contact with wound exudate or blood, it forms a gel that creates a moist wound environment. By using locking technology, it also traps cellular debris and any bacteria present in wound exudate inside the dressing and allows the dressing to be removed from the wound in one piece during dressing changes. This dressing has a very high absorption capacity and, by absorbing wound exudate, protects the periwound area and wound edges while helping promote faster wound healing.

When it comes into contact with wound exudate, it forms a gel that maintains moisture in the wound environment and supports autolytic debridement.
The dressing conforms completely to the wound bed, protects sensitive wound tissue, and does not require frequent changes.
Wound exudate, cellular debris, and bacteria are trapped inside the dressing and are removed from the wound together with the dressing in one piece during dressing changes.

For the management of superficial or deep, acute and chronic wounds with low to high levels of exudate.

Indications:

Leg ulcers
Pressure ulcers (stages 2 to 4)
Surgical wounds
Second-degree burn wounds
Traumatic wounds
Exuding oncological wounds

It can also be used for the management of infected wounds or wounds at risk of infection.

Wound healing phases:

Exudation phase
Granulation phase
It has a very high absorption capacity, helping prevent wound maceration and protecting the wound edges.
It has a stable and cohesive structure and can therefore be removed from the wound in one piece.
Using locking technology, it traps bacteria and cellular debris and reduces the microbial load on the wound surface.
It creates a moist wound environment that supports faster wound healing and provides greater patient comfort.
When the Suprasorb Liquacel Pro reinforced hydroactive dressing is dry, it can easily be cut to the required size.
The dressing should extend approximately 1 cm beyond the wound edges.
The Suprasorb Liquacel Pro reinforced ribbon should extend approximately 2.5 cm beyond the wound edges.
Apply an appropriate secondary dressing over the primary dressing to maintain moisture in the wound environment.
This dressing can be used under compression bandaging.
